General System Description GTTS-2000 series

GTTS-2000B
To name the GTTS-2000B a “Plug & Play” unit is already too much. It doesn’t even have wiring or switches. It sticks like a magnet on a ferrous surface and activates itself this way.
- Goal:
- The GTTS-2000B is used to track and trace objects in the most simple and reliable way covering the entire globe. Especially objects that can’t provide a suitable power supply, obtaining power is difficult or costly, like container transports, one-time-transports, sporting events etc.
- Installation:
- The GTTS-2000B is a battery operated tracking and tracing device that can be installed much faster then any other system. Antennas and battery are fully integrated in the all-weather-proof housing, so no wiring is needed. Mounting it onto a (ferrous) steel surface is made very easy by the (optional) integrated strong magnets. The GTTS-2000B will be activated automatically if it is placed onto a steel surface like for example a container or the roof of a truck.
- Operation:
- The system will report its GPS location and speed in predefined time intervals through the Iridium Satellite Network to your own pc/server or to a dedicated geo-server. With mapping software the position or trace is visualized.
The reporting time intervals are controlled by an integrated motion sensor. This sensor distinguishes driving/sailing from stand still. At stand still the reporting frequency is lowered in order to minimize the communication costs and to maximize the batteries life span. Reporting frequency and other settings are “Over The Air” reconfigurable.
The GTTS-2000B can send appr. 3650 messages from one battery. Every message contains two reports.

8 transmissions/ 16 reports per day. 3,2 year
6 transmissions / 16 reports per day. 3,6 year
4 transmissions /16 reports per day. 4,2 year
2 transmissions /16 reports per day. 5,0 year
1 transmissions /16 reports per day. 5,5 year
If the GTTS-2000B is removed from the steel surface, it will send a tamper message and will switch itself off.

GTTS-2000E
The GTTS-2000E can provide all kinds of data or information from any location on the globe.
- Goal:
- The GTTS-2000E is designed to combine tracking and tracing with reporting of multiple relevant data. Data like for example fuel level, contact(s) on/off, temperature etc. It can also activate relays or other electronics for remote control.
- Installation:
- The GTTS-2000E is an externally powered tracking and tracing system, with an internal backup battery, that requires a minimum of installation time because the GPS and Iridium Antennas are fully integrated in the all-weather-proof housing. Installation and connection of various sensors or actuators differs from application to application.
- Operation:
- Operational wise, the GTTS-2000E can be compared fully against the GTTS-2000B except the limitation of battery life and the additional features:
- Disconnection of the main power source will activate the backup power source without interruption and will also trigger an alarm message
- An integrated heater will guarantee operation in the most cold environments and will make sure that the backup battery is always fully charged.
- The GTTS-2000E can be polled from the server. This means that a position and status report can be requested any time of day in between of the regular or scheduled reports.
- A variety of in- and outputs makes the GTTS-2000E usable in many applications.
- Dedicated software makes the GTTS-2000E well suited as a LRIT (Long Range Identification Transponder), VMS (Vessel Monitoring System) or SSAS (Ship Security Alert System)
- Reporting frequency and other settings are “Over The Air” reconfigurable.
